[2 Fixes] USB Windows 10 Clean Install - A Media Driver Your Computer Needs is Missing (2018)
In this tutorial, I will be showing you two possible ways to fix the problem of missing media driver during Windows 10 installation. This is a common error when you try to install Windows 10 from a USB storage device. The full error message is “A media driver your computer needs is missing. This could be a DVD, USB or Hard Disk driver. If you have a CD, DVD or USB flash drive with the driver on it Please insert it now. Note: if the installation media is in the windows DVD drive or on a USB drive, you can safely remove it from this step”. The solutions discussed in this video are:
1. Changing to another USB port. Preferably from a USB 3.0 port to a 2.0 port or vice versa.
2. Install Intel Rapid Storage technology User Interface and Driver during the installation process: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/27681/Intel-Rapid-Storage-Technology-Intel-RST-User-Interface-and-Driver?product=55005
